Specialist Notes:


A development plan is a structured approach to identifying and building the skills and competencies necessary for both current and future roles.


IMPORTANT!


Development Plans are not assigned and do not have due dates, as they are optional and do not require manager approval.


WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW?

The order of steps for completing a Development Plan is as follows:
  1. Creating a Development Plan
  2. Adding a Development Plan Objective
  3. Adding Learning and Action Steps to Objectives (Please refer users to pages 7-20 of the Guide)
  4. Set Due Dates for Actions (Users can refer to page 9 for additional steps).
  5. Submitting My Development Plan
  6. Monitoring and Updating My Development Plan Progress


HOW SHOULD WE ASSIST?


  • Review the standard responses available in the Development Plan KB folder. If the information is not found, there is a guide available in Roadmap to Success that includes instructions.

  • When using the guide to further assist users, please open it on your end to locate the relevant information and attempt to assist the user directly.

  • You may provide the user-facing link if appropriate, but always try to locate the answer yourself before sending it.

Standard Response:


You can access your Development Plan using either of the methods below:

Method 1: 


1. Click the Hamburger Menu in the top right corner of your homepage.
2. Select ‘Performance’, then click ‘Development Plans’.
3. Under the Snapshot tab, click your Development Plan title to open it.

Method 2: 


1. From the homepage, scroll down and click ‘Learn More’ under the Check-Ins section.

2. Select your upcoming check-in meeting.
3. Click the Development Plan icon on the right side of the page.
4. Click your Development Plan title, then select ‘Manage’ to view or update your plan.
